Wood Lexicon – Guidance for Consumers, Parents, and Everyone Who Chooses Consciously

The Wood Lexicon provides well-founded knowledge about wood types, materials, and their meaningful use in everyday life. It is aimed at anyone interested in sustainable materials, product quality, and child-friendly design – whether as parents, consumers, or creative makers.

The lexicon already includes comprehensive entries on a wide range of European and tropical wood species, including beech, chestnut, acacia, and walnut. It is complemented by expert information on materials such as MDF, laminated wood, solid wood, and plywood, as well as topics like DIN standards, quality grades, processing characteristics, and ecological aspects.

The goal is to offer clear and accessible guidance – for everyone who wants to make informed choices about toys, furniture, and everyday items, and who seeks factual information about the origin, properties, and applications of wood.

The content of the Wood Lexicon is continuously expanded and updated – new subject areas are already in preparation.
